American Airlines increases its flights to Buenos Aires during the summer season

The airline will have a 20% increase in seat capacity during the peak season compared to 2022-2023

From December 21 to March 29, 2024, American will increase its Miami (MIA) operations from 18 to 21 weekly flights. The route will be operated by Boeing 777-300 aircraft with capacity for 304 passengers, and Boeing 787-8 with capacity for 234 passengers. 

In addition, from December 5 to February 13, 2024, the airline will increase its daily flights to New York (JFK) to 10 weekly flights, operated by Boeing 777-200 aircraft with capacity for 273 passengers, offering customers a first-class flight experience with Flagship® Business and Premium Economy cabins, as well as state-of-the-art interiors, high-speed Wi-Fi and hundreds of on-demand movies and TV shows at every seat. 

With these additional frequencies, American will offer up to six daily flights during peak season from Buenos Aires to three US destinations, including up to three daily flights to Miami, up to two daily flights to New York and daily service to Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW). 

"American has a 33-year commitment to Argentina and we are proud to increase our operations in Buenos Aires during the holiday season, giving our customers even more options to travel to their favorite destinations in the United States," said Gonzalo Schames, Director of Operations for South America and Strategic Alliances of American.  

During the 2023-2024 holiday season, American will increase its Argentina operation by 23% and its seat capacity by 20%, compared to the same period in 2022-2023. 

With this vacation service, American reinforces its position as the largest airline linking Latin America and the Caribbean with the United States, operating up to 361 daily flights from 90 destinations.
