Iberostar recognizes tour operators and travel agencies from Peru

For more than 65 years, the Iberostar Group has positioned itself as a benchmark in the tourism industry worldwide due to the quality of the services it offers. The company has made collaboration and innovation fundamental pillars for growth focused on caring for people and the environment of the destinations in which it is present. This commitment is reflected in its responsible tourism model.

During 2023 Iberostar has grown in sales in the Peruvian market by 38% compared to last year. The growth achieved in hotels in the Dominican Republic stands out with 25%, Jamaica with 180% and Brazil with 77%, compared to 2022. 

For this reason, Iberostar recognized tour operators and travel agencies in Peru for their support during 2022 and 2023 in an event called "Night of the Stars". 

The schedule of activities included two large work dinners at the Iberostar Selection Miraflores hotel in Lima with more than 120 guests and the delivery of awards to the Star Agents with the highest production for Iberostar Hotels. The Star Agents event in Lima was attended by more than 80 travel agencies and the following were recognized as the best sellers in Peru: first place: Mercedes Polanco López, Expertise Viajes; second place: Ana María Horita de Canale, International Travel Team SAC - ITT and third place: María Romero, Costamar Travel.

Present at the events were Héctor Alvarez, Business Development Director for LATAM, Dayana Vargas, Key Account Manager of Peru; Marlene Iannacone, Business Development Manager for the Peruvian market and Yoanki Jesús Nieves, Marketing Director for the LATAM markets. 

During the events, the executives highlighted the novelties of the Iberostar hotels in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Jamaica and Brazil and emphasized that the renovations to be carried out will follow Iberostar's sustainability criteria to be waste-free by 2025 and neutral in footprint. of carbon in 2030, among others .

Iberostar Hotels & Resorts has in its DNA to offer the best experience to its clients and for this reason it presents an ambitious reform plan in its hotels in the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Jamaica to renovate more than 2,600 rooms, as well as renovated common areas such as swimming pools, bars and restaurants, and the Star Camp areas.

A great example of what Iberostar is doing is the recent complete renovation of the 528 rooms and most of the facilities at the Iberostar Selection Hacienda Dominicus in Bayahibe, Dominican Republic. This hotel now also includes high-tech facilities in the rooms, such as Chromecast, USB sockets, new reading lamps and a modern key system connected to guests' wristbands and phones via a QR code. 

Similarly, emphasis was placed on the wedding and honeymoon program, under the name Weddings By Iberostar as Imagined By You, designed for hotels in Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica. With the aim of personalizing the experience of its clients, guaranteeing the celebration of longer events and promoting sustainability, this program, framed within the group's responsible tourism proposal, improves the experience of couples and their guests.
