Arajet exceeds 200 thousand passengers transported

The low-price airline of the Caribbean maintains its leadership position as the Dominican airline that transports the most passengers, totaling 32,000 during April 2023

According to figures from the Civil Aviation Board, Arajet maintains a solid first place in the Dominican Republic with 32,191 passengers transported from April 1 to 31, followed by Sky High with 9,636, and Air Century with 4,924.

"We are proud that with only 7 months of operations, more than 202,000 people have flown with us to and from our country on our route network that includes 17 destinations in 11 countries," said Víctor Pacheco, CEO and founder of Arajet.

“With the recent launch of our 42 connections in 9 countries of our network, we fulfill the promise of turning the Dominican Republic into the new low-price hub in the region, and we will contribute even more travelers to the record-breaking numbers of tourist arrivals to the country," he said.

Arajet is not only the leading Dominican airline in passenger transport in the Dominican Republic, it has also led international passenger transport in the Felipe Ángeles (NLU) terminal since January 2023, which serves Mexico City.

Arajet operates with new Boeing 737MAX8 aircraft that consume 14% less fuel than any other single-aisle aircraft on the market, and reduce noise pollution by 40%.
