Aeropuertos Uruguay launched the sustainability campaign "Uruguayans by Nature"

The initiative, which has the support of the Ministry of Tourism, is a commitment by Uruguay Airports to encourage foreign tourists and all people who enter the country to enjoy the natural beauty and the environment by making responsible decisions with their care.

It is about involving all the actors linked to the sector to transform the country into a destination that is committed to sustainable tourism and promotes attitudes and good practices to care for the environment. 

This campaign by the company, part of the global Corporación América Airports group, was presented within the framework of the launch of the fifth Sustainability Report of Corporación América Airports in Uruguay, which includes the company's management during the 2021-2022 period and reviews the milestones and achievements of the last two years.

With its mission of bringing Uruguay closer to the world in a sustainable way, the company carries out its management in a manner that is respectful of the environment, caring for the use of resources and supporting the development of the communities in which it is present.

In its Sustainability Report, prepared following the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, using the latest GRI 2021 Universal Standards, the company reports on the different actions, projects and initiatives it carries out, framed within its contribution to the Objectives. Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) presented by the United Nations in 2015.

The report delves into his management, delving into his contribution to the community and the country, his commitment in relation to the human capital team, the responsible management of his environmental impact, the advances in operations and infrastructure, as well as the business results, both for Aeropuertos Uruguay, an airport business unit that includes the management and operation of the Carrasco Punta del Este, Carmelo, Rivera, Salto, Melo, Paysandú and Durazno Airports, and for Latin America Cargo City, its logistics and air cargo platform .
