LATAM announces direct flight between Aruba and Lima

The non-stop service route will be available from December 2, 2023

The Government of Aruba, together with the Aruba Airport Authority and the Aruba Tourism Office, is proud to announce non-stop service on the Lima-Aruba route, starting December 2, 2023, connecting the markets of Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Paraguay. 

“We are excited to welcome our friends from Peru to the sunny shores of Aruba. We consider the announcement of the Lima-Aruba flight with LATAM Airlines a great achievement. This new flight will not only strengthen the ties between our two countries, but will also provide an exciting opportunity for Peruvians to discover Aruba's natural beauty, culture, and warm hospitality. We look forward to sharing with them the unforgettable experiences that make Aruba a happy island. A lot of time and energy was invested in the negotiations and we are happy to see a successful outcome. A special thanks to the team from the Aruba Airport Authority, the Aruba Tourism Authority and the Aruba Hotel and Tourism Association”, mentioned the Minister of Tourism and Public Health of Aruba, Danguiallaume Oduber.

LATAM has operations in five South American countries –Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru– and offers the best connectivity within, to and from Latin America, covering 144 destinations in 22 countries with its passenger operations and 154 destinations with its loading operations.

New route LIM-AUA

The flight will have an initial frequency of three times a week in an Airbus 320 aircraft with capacity for 174 passengers, 12 in the Premium Economy cabin and 162 in Economy; or in an Airbus 319 aircraft with capacity for 138 passengers, 12 in Premium Economy cabin and 126 in Economy.

The flights will depart Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at the following times:

LIM-AUA departure time 12:00 and arrival time 17:20

AUA-LIM departure time 18:20 and arrival time 21:40

“We are very happy to continue opening doors between Aruba and Latin America with the new Latam Airlines Lima-Aruba-Lima route. Increasingly, our region has greater air connectivity to provide new alternatives to tourists from Peru, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay so that they come to know our happy island", mentioned the director of the Tourism Authority of Aruba for Latin America, Jordan Schlipken.

Lima: a hub connecting the markets of South America and Latin America

This new route offers access to the largest corporate and general market in South America, Lima, and connects with the main cities in the region. From Lima, LATAM operates 176 weekly international operations to 29 destinations in various countries in the Americas. Mainly to key cities such as Santiago de Chile (45 weekly flights), Buenos Aires Argentina (20), São Paulo-Guarulhos, Brazil (21), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (7), Guayaquil, Ecuador (7) and Montevideo, Uruguay (7).
