Volaris, the Mexican airline that operates in Mexico, the United States, Central and South America, announces the launch of 40 new domestic routes and consolidates its position as the largest airline in the country.
These new routes will directly connect 16 cities with leisure, beach and business destinations, which will help encourage tourism dynamism and commercial exchange, both essential to boost the development of communities and their local economies.
"Derived from a growing interest in getting to know Mexico better, as well as the population rearrangement brought about by the pandemic, and the need to optimize international supply chains, the tourist offer goes beyond the cities, creating new -and very important- tourist and industrial corridors,” said Holger Blankenstein, executive vice president of Volaris.
This unprecedented connectivity strategy considers 33 routes that are only served by the bus market, which places Volaris as the only option for a safer, faster and lower cost transfer; as well as seven routes on which, until now, only one airline operated.
Another very important component in the Volaris plan is the south of the country. Chiapas and Oaxaca have great tourism potential, so seven of these new routes are intended to encourage connectivity and economic activity in both states.
“We are also about to launch a new product so that our clients discover new destinations and continue traveling in any of the eight countries where we have a presence. We will share all the details very soon,” Blankenstein concluded.
The new ones begin operations on July 10 and are already on sale at www.volaris.com with a promotional price of $99 pesos plus taxes, for a single flight.
