IHG Hotels & Resorts Brings "Hotel Indigo" Lifestyle Brand to the Galapagos Islands

Hotel Indigo, part of the IHG Hotels & Resorts Luxury and Lifestyle Collection, reaches a triple milestone with the opening of Hotel Indigo Galapagos on the island of San Cristóbal, marking the first for IHG in this volcanic archipelago and representing the debut of the Hotel Indigo brand in South America. This new property is located in the heart of the "Enchanted Islands", home to unique endemic flora and fauna, as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The 35-room Hotel Indigo Galapagos, promoted and operated by BPO SA, reflects its lush natural surroundings. San Cristóbal is the place where Charles Darwin took his first steps in the archipelago and collected the first scientific specimens of him. The property carefully incorporates this narrative into its design through the creative use of immersive contemporary architecture; With textures, materials and shapes of the local landscape, coatings and details in wood and volcanic stone, it brings to life the aesthetics of the island in its spaces, capturing its uniqueness through the interpretation of nature.
