With the theme ''Research Agents in Tourism: Panorama and Challenges of Tourism Observatories in Brazil'', the 7th Meeting of the Brazilian Network of Tourism Observatories will take place in the city of São Luís, at the Santa Amélia Factory (UFMA), from June 1 to 3, 2023. The event is organized by the Brazilian Network of Tourism Observatories, the Tourism Observatory of the city of São Luís, the Federal University of Maranhão and the São Luís Municipal Secretary of Tourism .
It will be the first time that the city hosts the Meeting. The Meeting aims to bring together various researchers from Tourism and related areas to discuss the importance of research and data collection in the construction of tourism public policies in Brazil. The program will include conferences, presentation of success stories and a round table.
"In 2022, the Municipal Secretary of Tourism was present at the Meeting of the Brazilian Network of Tourism Observatories, in the city of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, and this year, the meeting will be in São Luís. We highlight the importance of the event for the city, since it will strengthen the image of São Luís, bringing greater visibility, in addition to bringing together a select group of researchers and academics in tourism”, says Saulo Santos, Municipal Secretary of Tourism of São Luís.Registration for the 7th
