More than 40 weekly flights will arrive at Chapelco Airport (Carlos Campos) in San Martín de los Andes, in winter 2023. Aerolíneas Argentinas already offers its direct flights from Buenos Aires, Rosario, Córdoba and San Pablo (Brazil) with different flight options. days and times. In addition, the Jet SMART airline will carry out three weekly flights starting in July that will provide new service options and fares to fly to San Martín de los Andes. Chapelco expects the arrival of a high percentage of skiers from Brazil, Chile and Uruguay this winter, not only because they will benefit from the exchange rate, but also because of Chapelco's positioning in those markets through the international promotional tours that the commercial area carried out in the months prior to the season, together with the Government of the Province of Neuquén and the city of San Martín de los Andes. Works on the access road to Chapelco

The circulation in the ascent and descent of vehicles from the RN 40 by the RP 19 to the Base, will be more fluid this winter since works of widening and smoothing of the road were carried out in points that were critical for traffic. The work, carried out by the Neuquén Provincial Road Administration, will improve access to Chapelco, providing greater security, especially when there is an accumulation of snow or ice on the road.

Investment in the snow, to enjoy the best slopes

New state-of-the-art floor mats are added this year to Chapelco's fleet. This equipment, added to the work carried out by the Chapelco team during the day and night, means that each day you can enjoy the slopes in optimal conditions from the first hour. The Induced Snow system was improved with investments that will make it possible to make the most of days with the possibility of generating snow, essential to ensure slopes when rainfall is not sufficient. By upgrading towing means, transport capacity will be improved, reducing waiting times for skiers.

Inauguration of the expansion of the Parador Refugio Graef

In the heart of Chapelco, at elevation 1700, the Graef refuge grew to become bigger. This winter Chapelco will inaugurate the expansion by 40% of the facilities of its iconic parador, increasing the surface of the hall in the sector that overlooks the El Palito track. The work includes the expansion of the kitchen, which will make it possible to revise its menu and expedite the service to the tables, as well as improvements in the sanitary area. This important spot in the mountains with a fireplace and deck overlooking the Lanín volcano, is located in front of the historic Graef refuge built by the pioneers, from which it took its name.

Anticipation of a new Antulauquen

In Plataforma 1600 the work that will build a new Antulauquen hostel is already beginning to take shape. The ground movement works have already begun, which constitutes the first stage of the construction works of a new hostel that will once again offer refuge to the skiers of Chapelco, in a big way. It will have state-of-the-art gastronomic facilities, easily accessible toilets, service premises, an exclusive dining room for the Junior Academy, among other facilities.

Parador 1600 and Rancho de Manolo

While the development of the new Parador Antulauquen progresses, this season Chapelco inaugurates an alternative refuge in Platform 1600 of 450m2, which will be a closed and heated space, comfortable, spacious and practical, with gastronomic services for all tastes. A strategic place to make the best stop on the mountain between descents, before or after snowmobile rides, dog sledding, or snowshoeing through the forest. Chapelco obtained the Environmental Management System Certification under the IRAM 14.001/2015 standard

Chapelco Ski Resort obtained the Certification of this international Environmental Management standard, which legitimizes the environmental policies of the services it provides, under adequate standards compatible with the requirements of the IQNET (International Quality Net) valid in 35 countries. The certification was granted by virtue of the operational compliance of the company in accordance with the IRAM 14,001 Standard in relation to the implementation of saving measures in energy consumption, water and waste generation, and for the improvements in the usual operations that are carried out. carried out by employees and dealers.

In the 2023 season, Chapelco will host multiple sporting events such as competitions on the Official Calendar of the International Ski Federation (FIS) in which the best exponents of Argentina and the world will compete. On July 6 and 7, the First Snow and Mountain Conference & Expo of the Americas will be held in San Martín de los Andes and in Cerro Chapelco, with the aim of promoting mountain activities and sports. 

THE HELI KITE EXPERIENCE in Chapelco:

From August 1 to 5, a new meeting of riders will be held, who, guided by Chapelco snowkite instructors, will go by helicopter to explore an inhospitable place located at some points on the summits of the Chapelco Mountain Range, to fly snowkite.
