Guatemala was the Headquarters of Ibero-American Country Brand Authorities

The event was held in La Antigua Guatemala, from June 1 to 2, and the work meetings had the objective of exchanging experiences and practices in the design, construction, management and sustainability of country brands

In order to stay at the forefront of global branding and positioning trends, the Ibero-American Country Brand Pre-Forum of the Ibero-American Country Brand Council -CIMAP- was held. This meeting is the technical instance to strengthen the links between its members and stimulate economic, commercial and investment relations, based on the projection of a positive image at the international level.

The event was held in La Antigua Guatemala, from June 1 to 2. The work meetings were aimed at exchanging experiences and good practices in the design, construction, management, and sustainability of country brands. During the Pre-Forum, the central themes to be developed in the Forum of the Ibero-American Council of Country Brands, to be held in Peru, next September, were defined.

Argentina, Barcelona, ​​Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, Cuba, Panama, Peru and Uruguay met in the City of Perpetual Roses, actively participating in discussions, conferences and panels designed to improve management models aimed at positioning the member countries.

With the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the importance of the positive impact generated by establishing strategic alliances to increase trade and investment through the Country Brand was addressed. Creating an ideal space where the countries were transmitters of good practices, strategies and incentives for the adoption and sustainability of the GUATEMALA Country Brand by the public and private sectors.

The General Director of INGUAT, Architect Anayansy Rodriguez expressed:
“This important event marks the beginning of a new chapter in the promotion of our nations. It is time to strengthen our Country Brands and actively promote them in all areas. We must join efforts to develop effective strategies that boost our image globally”.

Just like individuals, countries have a series of attributes that define their character. This character is presented to the world through its Mark.

The GUATEMALA Country Brand is a nation strategy designed to refresh the country's image and attract tourism, trade and international investment.
