Aerolíneas Argentinas confirmed the start of its operations with A330 aircraft from Aeroparque.

In the case of Miami, it will operate on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays with departure time at 11:30 p.m. The returns will be 3 weekly (Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday) with departure at 10.05 and arrival at 20.00.

The route with New York will have 3 weekly flights, on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays departing at 11:55 p.m. Returns will be on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, departing from JFK at 3:25 p.m. and arriving at 3:25 p.m. This flight will allow tourists to connect to the main tourist destinations within Argentina during the peak hours of daily departures and with minimum connection times.

In addition, the first domestic operations with Airbus have already been confirmed: on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:55 they will cover the Aeroparque – Ushuaia route. While, at the moment, there are 3 scheduled returns from Tierra del Fuego: Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Also, there will be a departure to Iguazú every Saturday at 6:55 and a departure, also on Saturdays, from El Calafate at 18:30.

"In this way we improve our products, being more efficient with our accounts, and simultaneously, we strengthen our role by bringing more tourists from the United States who can connect with all the domestic flights in our network and with minimum connection times," explained Pablo Ceriani, president of Aerolíneas Argentinas.

The A330s are the largest capacity aircraft owned by Aerolíneas Argentinas and are part of its long-range mono-fleet. They have 24 seats in business class and 248 in tourist. Due to their autonomy, performance and flight characteristics, these aircraft mainly cover routes to Europe, the US, the Caribbean and high-demand domestic destinations.

It should be remembered that the company incorporated a new aircraft of this model a few weeks ago and that another will be incorporated during the year. In this way, the A330-200 fleet will again have 10 operational aircraft.

It is also important to mention that these aircraft are enabled to operate at the "Jorge Newbery" Aeroparque thanks to the set of works that were inaugurated at the end of 2022 and that include a new 2,690-meter runway, that is, 590 meters more than what I had 4 years ago.

This expansion also included the enlargement of its width, which now reaches a total of 60 meters, in accordance with the most demanding international standards.

Likewise, a new beaconing system was installed, which raises the category of the airport to Level III. This allows flying with greater safety margins in adverse weather conditions and/or what in the industry is called “instrument operation”.

The international passenger terminal was rebuilt and expanded, adding more surface area, more boarding gates, new technology, more customs and immigration control positions, and control by the Airport Security Police. Likewise, services were expanded with more gastronomic offers and shops.

When the operation begins on August 7, the new aircraft positioning platforms will be ready, as well as the new vehicular accesses and facilities for connecting passengers will be added. Similarly, works were carried out in the passenger terminal, pre-boarding and in different public areas of the airport.
