As of June 19, Air France will operate five weekly flights between the Juan Santamaría International Airport in the city of San José and the Paris-Charles de Gaulle Hub, in the most modern aircraft in its fleet, an Airbus A-350 .
After a busy season and seeking to respond to growing market demand, Air France will increase weekly frequencies, ratifying its constant growth in the country.
Diana Vargas, Air France and KLM Commercial Manager for Costa Rica and Central America, stated: “I am pleased to announce that, once again, we will increase our flight offer to meet market demand. As of June 19, Air France will operate 2 additional flights to offer 5 weekly flights San José-Paris-San José during the European summer season. This is equivalent to an increase in the offer of chairs of 67% compared to the summer of 2022.”
Air France will operate starting June 19 from San José on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Flight AF431: Departs San José at 7:35 p.m. and arrives in Paris at 2:20 p.m. the next day
Flight AF430: Departs Paris at 2:05 p.m. and arrives in San José at 5:20 p.m. the same day.

For his part, the Minister of Tourism of Costa Rica, William Rodríguez, mentioned, “In the first four months of 2023, France has become the main market in Europe for Costa Rican tourism. Therefore, it is more than satisfactory that, during our green season, Air France increases its flights to 5 per week. I thank this airline for the tourist support it gives to our country, and we hope that many more French people will visit us during the European summer to enjoy what Costa Rica offers and, at the same time, help to reactivate our economy and provide employment for many nationals who they need it".
