SIXT USA, a subsidiary of the world leader in premium mobility services, today announces the opening of its new car rental location at Jacksonville International Airport (JAX). Car rental reservations can now be made on SIXT.com or through the SIXT app.
With its prime position as the first car rental counter within the airport concourse, the branch offers travelers a seamless experience from arrival to rental. The premium fleet is comprised of standard and luxury coupes, sedans and SUVs providing customers with a wide selection of vehicles to meet specific needs and preferences.
The opening solidifies SIXT's presence in Florida, where it now operates car rental locations at seven of the state's largest airports, including Orlando, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, Jacksonville, Fort Meyers and West Palm Beach.
Tom Kennedy, President of SIXT USA and Canada: “As a civil-military airport that is the gateway to North Florida for 6.5 million military, business and leisure travelers a year, this new branch in our home state of Florida is a major location for SIXT. We look forward to meeting the car rental needs of travelers who value a premium experience at an affordable price.”
Mark VanLoh, CEO, Jacksonville Aviation Authority: “As our passenger traffic grows, so does the demand for rental cars at our facilities. We are incredibly excited that SIXT's first Northeast Florida location will be at Jacksonville International Airport."
The new JAX branch joins a growing list of recent branch openings in North America, including Maui, Washington DC, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Vail, Charlotte and Toronto. SIXT will continue to expand in the US and Canada with additional locations opening later this year.
In just over 10 years, SIXT USA has grown to become the largest single market for the global mobility provider. Today, SIXT operates more than 100 rental locations in 22 states, employs more than 1,200 team members, and serves 42 of the major airports in the US, where it has nearly doubled its revenue since 2019. Additionally, by launching operations in Canada last July, SIXT is tapping into another billion-dollar market that also offers potential for synergies with its US business.
