​Iberostar recognizes tour operators and travel agencies from Argentina and Uruguay

Iberostar Hotels & Resorts continues to hold Star Agents award events in the main Latin American markets

On this occasion, several meetings were held in Argentina and Uruguay with the purpose of thanking and recognizing the trade for its support in these markets and to present the novelties of the Iberostar hotels in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Brazil.

For more than 65 years, the Iberostar Group has positioned itself as a benchmark in the tourism industry worldwide due to the quality of the services it offers. The company has made collaboration and innovation fundamental pillars for growth focused on caring for people and the environment of the destinations where it is present. This commitment is reflected in its responsible tourism model.

Thanks to the synergy between Iberostar Hotels & Resorts, the Tour Operators and travel agencies, it has been possible to satisfy the expectations of thousands of guests seeking an unforgettable experience. According to registered figures, during 2023 Iberostar has had a sales growth in the Argentine market of 71% compared to the year 2022. The growth achieved in hotels in Brazil stands out with 197%, Jamaica with 136%, Dominican Republic with 66 % and Mexico with 23%. 

For its part, Uruguay shows a growth of 7% in 2023 compared to 2022, highlighting the results of hotels in Brazil with 688% and Mexico with 14%. 

Taking into account these excellent results, Iberostar recognized Tour Operators and agencies in the "Events of the Stars" in which João Abegao, Director of Markets for America; Luna Farias, Director of Distribution for the Americas; Héctor Alvarez, Business Development Director of LATAM, Romina Manso, Key Account Manager of Argentina; Yoanki Jesús Nieves, Marketing Director of LATAM; Marianela Ghidinelli, Business Development Manager of Santa Fe and Litoral and Carlos Lorgueilleux, Business Development Manager of Buenos Aires. 

The schedule included two major events in Buenos Aires on Tuesday, June 13. The first was a lunch with more than 85 travel agencies in which awards were given to the Star Agents with the highest production. The honorees were: Paula Collino of Target Group in first place; Hernán Besso from Anyway Travel in second place and Viviana Antolín from Columbia Viajes, in third place. Later, at night, the executives of the hotel chain entertained more than 50 Tour Operators in a meeting in which they presented the news of the hotels and continued to thank the tour operator for the constant support to achieve these results in Argentina.

The tour continued on June 14 through Rosario, one of the main customer issuing places for Iberostar in Argentina, where a working lunch for tour operators and travel agents from the region was held with more than 65 guests. In this city, the awarded Star Agents were: Marina Broglia from Turismo Carey, with first place; Virginia Olivieri from Nigro Notaro Viajes, won second place and Rodrigo Boeri from Crois Viajes, was deserving of third position. 

The tour culminated on June 15 in the city of Montevideo, Uruguay, where the Iberostar executive team shared with more than 60 Tour Operators and travel agents at a working lunch where the Star Agents with the best sales were also awarded. of this market. The awards in Montevideo correspond to: Federico Rodriguez Balza from Hiper Viajes who achieved first position; Jaqueline Bosdanjian from Carrasco Viajes took second place and Joel Felder from Buemes Viajes was the third place winner. 

Iberostar Hotels & Resorts has in its DNA to offer the best experience to its clients and for this reason it presents an ambitious reform plan in its hotels in the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Jamaica. Around $20 million dollars are being invested to renovate more than 2,600 rooms, as well as renovated common areas such as swimming pools, bars and restaurants, and the Star Camp areas. Similarly, it was highlighted that the renovations being carried out will follow Iberostar's sustainability criteria to be waste-free by 2025 and carbon-neutral by 2030, among others .
