The Mexican state of Nayarit unveiled its tourist attractions at WTE Miami

Within the framework of the international tourism and travel event World Travel Expo Miami 2023, held from June 13 to 15 at the Miami Airport Convention Center, Travel2latam had the opportunity to talk with Juan Pablo Tostado, Director of Tourism Development for Nayarit, Mexico.
What are the tourist destinations that Nayarit offers?
We have several cities and municipalities with all kinds of activities, we have sun and sand, jungle, zip lines, water activities, whale and turtle watching, and the number of attractions is truly immense. In general, tourists do not locate Nayarit because they focus on Puerto Vallarta, which is next door, and when they go to Puerto Vallarta, they end up going to Nayarit. The idea is that people locate Nayarit, where we have a beautiful gastronomy, culture, art made by the Mayas, since it is not only another destination like many beaches around the world, but it is a culture rich in smells. , flavors, colors and experiences.
What gastronomic offer does the state have?
Unlike other regions of Mexico, the zarandeado fish is very good, and we also have, of course, the typical Mexican food. The gastronomy of Nayarit is very rich, you can eat first world seafood and I know there are other places that sell seafood, but really our flavors are unique and the cuisine is spectacular.
What facilities do tourists have to get to Nayarit from inside and outside of Mexico?
We have flights from the Puerto Vallarta airport and we also have the Tepic airport, which is being enlarged to make an international airport. There is a connection with lines such as Aeroméxico or Volaris since it is a destination that receives all airlines. From Miami there is connectivity with a stopover, so we are looking for a direct flight to Vallarta since the same people from Miami are interested in finding that beach with Mexican culture and roots and good gastronomy as in Nayarit.
Does Nayarit have international hotels?
Of course, we have international hotel chains like Vidanta or Riu, and we have all kinds of large-scale hotels and there are a lot of offers. What we want to put into practice is an All Activities package so that the tourist that arrives can visit all the activities of all the Islands and places of attraction because there really is a lot to enjoy in Nayarit.
