The traditional event will take place on Saturday, July 8, with activities for the whole family, in a day of fun and excitement crowned with the descent of torches at Cerro Castor, with activities that will continue on Sunday, July 9, at Cerro Castor.
“This Fuegian tradition was growing and this year it was declared of national interest by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Nation, which gives it a special distinction by inviting tourists and residents to experience a party within the framework of the opening of the winter season. at the End of the World”, expressed Querciali.
Around the start of the season, the President of INFUETUR stated that "we have good expectations for this winter, with a large influx of visitors from other countries, especially Brazilians who come to enjoy the snow and the many activities offered by the snow centers. mountain, agencies, operators and tourism providers. Within this framework, the southernmost ski center in the world presented its innovations, with new facilities and the actions it plans for the 2023 winter season. The person in charge of Cerro Castor, Juan Carlos Begué, indicated "this year we have made a new meeting room pumping, going from having two pumps to six, which greatly improves the snow production capacity.
