India's IndiGo places record order for 500 A320 Family aircraft

IndiGo, has placed a firm order for 500 A320 Family aircraft, setting the record for the largest single purchase agreement in commercial aviation history. The latest deal brings the total number of Airbus aircraft ordered by IndiGo to 1,330, establishing its position as the world's largest A320 Family customer.

The landmark purchase agreement was signed by Rahul Bhatia, IndiGo Promoter and CEO, Dr. Venkataramani Sumantran, IndiGo Chairman and Independent Non-Executive Director, Pieter Elbers, IndiGo CEO, Guillaume Faury, Airbus CEO, and Christian Scherer, Commercial Director and International Head of Airbus, at the 2023 Paris Air Show.
