Avianca announces that, in line with its intention to expand its capacity to maintain connectivity in Colombia, Central America and the region, as well as its purpose to support the employability of the industry after the crisis in the sector in Colombia, it will incorporate ten Airbus A320 NEO aircraft , after reaching an agreement with different lessors.
“Today is the time to look to the future to continue putting our operation at the service of Colombia and Latin America. Therefore, we seek and obtain additional aircraft; We convened 730 experts including pilots, crew members,
service agents, dispatch and maintenance technicians, and with this underway we are waiting for the equitable allocation of slots in accordance with the RAC, to really make sustainable tourism grow in the region ”,
said Adrian Neuhauser, president and CEO of Avianca.
These planes will be incorporated into a fleet of more than 130 aircraft that Avianca currently has to serve its passenger and cargo operations, and which will be 150 by the end of the year.
The arrival of the new equipment will be completed before the end of 2023 so that the company is prepared to effectively attend the next high seasons in the middle of and at the end of the year, when passenger demand increases considerably.
