ME Cabo's Happenings Program, in collaboration with the most cutting-edge creative minds from around the world, brings the
most innovative contemporary culture to the hotel. To celebrate pride month, ME Cabo offered the perfect setting for Mexican designer Ricardo Seco to present his “Queer for ME” and “Pride” collections hand in hand with Alacrán tequila.
The Seco designer not only represents the LGBTQ+ movement, since it is Pride month, but he has also been a role model and advocate for Latino immigrants.
ME Cabo was named a “Committed Queer Destinations Hotel” in 2002, being the first hotel in Los Cabos to receive this accreditation that allows LGBTQ+ people to travel to destinations that meet the highest standards of safety and excellence for the community
. ME Cabo is a place for self-expression, freedom, and liberation from stereotypes and judgments.
The event, which took place on June 16, consisted of a fashion show that showcased Ricardo Seco's “Queer as Fuck” and “Pride” collections with spectacular views of the famous Cabo San Lucas 'Arch'. To complement the parade, a space was opened in the hotel for a Pop-up store by the designer, where Ricardo's items will be available for sale and will remain in the hotel for the rest of the month. To enhance its design, they had a special exhibition of Alacrán tequila bottles intervened by Ricardo Seco and a brand cocktail bar that offered Pride-themed cocktails to all guests at the event.
Among the guests were the television presenter Oscar Madrazo and Hadassah Tirosh, a Mexican-Israeli queer model, who opened the Ricardo Seco show. The guests stayed at the hotel over the weekend and were able to enjoy the
gastronomic proposal of Grupo Rosa Negra. They also enjoyed the KORPO Wellness Experience, the hotel spa, which offers a wide range of innovative treatments and relaxing massages.
This collaboration was successful as it reinforced the purpose of the hotel; To be an inclusive space strongly linked to art and fashion, as well as opinion leaders, where the best events in Cabo take place.
