Infuetur and Cerro Castor celebrated the National Winter Festival

Prior to the event, the president of the Fuegian Tourism Institute, Dante Querciali, stated that "we are going to welcome winter again, this time with the particularity of having a celebration that has been held in our province since the year 2000; but it is the first time that it will have a national character".

On Saturday, the activities began at 1:30 p.m. with artistic demonstrations, tastings, and games for the whole family. Starting at 10 a.m. there was a Zumba class, free waxing and then the hockey and ice skating demonstrations began, meaning that the celebration lasted all day, highlighting the descent of the torches at 6:00 p.m., followed by closing with a national DJ, as explained by the official.

In this sense, the head of the Institute commented that together with the Fuegian Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies they coordinated a special round trip rate, so that on Saturday transport companies had buses leaving from the port of Ushuaia to the center winter, which is very beneficial for those who want to attend the event and thus avoid the search for parking.

Likewise, he highlighted that the National Winter Festival continues to position the destination for snow, ice, and winter sports, but it is also a celebration for those who live in Tierra del Fuego. The event was also broadcast by Fueguina Public Television and its YouTube channel, National Public TV, TDA and the Fiestas Argentinas website.

"This year the municipalities of Ushuaia, Tolhuin and Río Grande will accompany us with tastings, games and tourist information; also the tourist providers, entrepreneurs and merchants of the province", concluded Querciali, thanking them for participating in this national holiday.

It is worth mentioning that prior to the start of this celebration, on Friday, July 7 at the Paseo del Fuego Shopping Mall, the Ushuaia Municipality's Secretary of Tourism carried out an activation from 6 to 8:30 p.m., where there were tastings, games and surprises. While on July 9, the After of the National Winter Festival was held from 2:00 p.m., with a live DJ, tastings, and activations in Cerro Castor.
