Meliá Hotels International has just opened the doors of its fourth hotel in Thailand and the first in the capital, the INNSiDE Bangkok Sukhumvit, whose opening ceremony was attended by the chain's president, Gabriel Escarrer, accompanied by the heads of the Asset real estate group World Corp (AWC), owners of the hotel.

The new establishment draws inspiration from Bangkok's local cultural scene and current lifestyle to connect with the new generation of travelers who appreciate simplicity and spontaneity. The hotel is located in the On Nut area and seeks to enhance its potential as an attractive residential and tourist destination while contributing to the expansion of Bangkok's bustling commercial and tourist hub.

With 208 rooms, INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit is aimed at those travelers and business professionals with a curious mind who yearn for new experiences and are looking for an affordable hotel model with all the services and a fresh and modern style, which allows them to enjoy a Lively stay in the Thai capital. INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit is inspired by the most emblematic places in the city. The highlight of its design lies in the fluid connection of spaces between the lobby and the bar. In addition, each floor offers a unique identity. The Lobby, an open space to interact, is inspired by the famous temples of Wat Phra Kaew and Wat Arun, ancient architectural jewels of Bangkok. The meeting rooms, with the Big Idea Space concept, are influenced by the giant guardians at the gates of Wat Pho. Besides,

The Kites Eatery, the hotel's all-day restaurant, offering international cuisine - including Asian dishes and Spanish specialties - takes its inspiration from the sprawling fields of Sanam Luang, with kites soaring freely in the sky above the city. Serving tapas-style dishes from various regions of Spain, LUZ Bangkok tapas bar captivates with its Rama VIII Bridge-inspired design elements and sparkling reflections of the Chao Phraya River at sunset, offering stunning views of Bangkok. The Giant Swing Pool Bar, located next to the hotel pool, also features striking décor.

Sustainability is also a key attribute in this new hotel, which has been certified to meet EDGE standards for energy and water, with efficient facilities to reduce consumption. In addition, sustainable and ecological materials are used in the amenities, free of single-use plastics. On the other hand, guests can immerse themselves in local traditions with cultural activities organized by the hotel with tour guides from the city. Additionally, artwork by local artists is displayed throughout the property.

During the opening ceremony, Gabriel Escarrer Jaume, President and CEO of Meliá Hotels International, once again thanked AWC for its confidence, calling it "the best possible ally to carry out Meliá's expansion in Thailand, since they include and share our deep commitment to service and hospitality excellence, which is critical to maintaining the quality, reputation and sustainability of our brands.” This is the third hotel operated and managed through the collaboration between AWC and Meliá Hotels International, in addition to the Meliá Koh Samui and Meliá Chiang Mai. On the other hand, Meliá also operates a 5-star holiday resort on the island of Phuket, the Meliá Phuket Mai Khao.

For her part, Wallapa Traisorat, executive director and president of AWC, assured that this hotel "reinforces AWC's long-term alliance with Meliá Hotels International and will allow us to improve the strength, diversity and accessibility of our hotel portfolio."
