Winter is about to warm up as American Airlines continues to grow its presence at Miami International Airport (MIA) with seven new routes and one new international destination. With more than 380 peak-day flights this winter, American cements its position as the largest airline at MIA with service to 150 destinations.

From MIA, American operates flights to more than 85 unique destinations, including more than 45 in Latin America and the Caribbean. A new destination and more flights to Latin America and the Caribbean
Beginning February 3, 2024, American will become the only US airline to fly nonstop from MIA to Governor's Harbour, Bahamas (GHB). The service will operate twice a week on Embraer E175 aircraft, complementing the airline's winter schedule for the Bahamas, which will include up to 14 daily departures to six destinations.
In addition, the airline will expand its winter schedule from MIA to Latin America and the Caribbean, which now includes more than 140 peak-day departures to more than 70 destinations, including Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR); Cartagena, Colombia (CTG); and Tortola, British Virgin Islands (EIS).
More flights from Buenos Aires for the winter
From December 21 to March 29, 2024, American will increase its operations from Ministro Pistarini International Airport (EZE) to Miami (MIA) from 18 to 21 weekly flights. The route will be operated by Boeing 777-300 aircraft with capacity for 304 passengers, and Boeing 787-8 with capacity for 234 passengers.
In addition, from December 5 to February 13, 2024, the airline will increase its daily flights to New York (JFK) to 10 weekly flights, operated by Boeing 777-200 aircraft with capacity for 273 passengers, offering customers a first-class flight experience with Flagship® Business and Premium Economy cabins, as well as state-of-the-art interiors, high-speed Wi-Fi and hundreds of on-demand movies and TV shows at every seat.
More ways to fly from Miami than any other airline
This winter, American will also offer the most convenient nonstop access to MIA with service from seven new destinations within the United States. New domestic destinations include year-round daily service to Portland, Oregon (PDX) and Sacramento, California (SMF); as well as seasonal weekly service to Buffalo, New York (BUF), Cedar Rapids, Iowa (CID); Lexington, Kentucky (LEX); Wichita, Kansas (ICT) and Wilmington, North Carolina (ILM).
