From August 10 to 13 of this year, Quito will present the best of traditional and typical food at the 'Hueca Fest 2023', a gastronomic fair in which the public can also enjoy artistic and cultural events.
The event is supported by Quito Turismo. It seeks to promote the traditional gastronomy of the capital and the country to consolidate it as a tourist attraction. For this 2023, the participation of at least 100 hollows and 60 enterprises that will offer their products and crafts in three days of the fair is expected.
Citizens will be able to enjoy exquisite flavors of the Sierra such as hornado, fritada, guatita, mote in all its varieties, mishky tripe, dry chicken, roast meats, among others. There will also be flavors of the Coast with seafood, ceviches, onions, tonga and other delicacies. Quito flavors will be present with locro, dried goat, figs with cheese, foam, among others. There will be no shortage of drinks for all tastes and desserts from all corners of Ecuador.
The official presentation of the Fair will take place this Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Yaku – Museo del Agua, in the El Placer sector, in the historic center of Quito. In this space, details of the event that is part of the activities for the "Summer of arts, culture and sports" promoted by the Municipality of the Metropolitan District of Quito will be offered.
