The Rock Star Chefs program is a proposal to enjoy the usual culinary proposals and innovative dishes made by renowned chefs. An event that usually has special guests behind its stove, centrally from Mexico and for two editions, it has added its activities to the rest of Latin America to delight diners with new flavors from the region.
The chefs participating in each edition set trends in Mexican and Latin American gastronomy. Their presence offers the possibility of getting to know their qualities more closely and guests have the opportunity to, in addition to trying their creations, interact with them.
The next edition of Rock Star Chefs will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta. A site known for being an all-inclusive rock odyssey; its location enjoys splendid landscapes of the Riviera Nayarit, bathed in the sun and surrounded by the sea in Bahía de Banderas.
The event will take place next September and important Latin American chefs will participate. In addition, Felicitas Pizarro will be the first Argentine guest at one of these events.
She is the granddaughter of Juan Carlos Saravia, the remembered founder of the Argentine folkloric group Los Chalchaleros, and niece of Facundo Saravia. However, her passion for her cooking was inherited from her paternal grandmother, the first of hers to share her recipes with her since her childhood and who made her a cook.
He gained notoriety in the field in 2013, when he won an international cooking contest hosted by English celebrity chef Jamie Oliver on YouTube (Jamie Oliver's Food Tube). Her dish, a grilled steak (typical of Argentina), was voted on by 15,000 people from around the world.
After the success of the program, the cook opened her own channel on the video platform and shortly after was called by El Gourmet to have her own cycle, "Las recetas de Felicitas". After her would come "Felicitas Parrillera" and "Cocina para mis amigos", on the same channel and her subsequent participation in "El Gran Premio de la Cocina" as a jury.
In addition to his career as a chef, Pizarro is a sommelier and has also published several cookbooks. In 2022 he opened the doors of his own restaurant called Maíz in Buenos Aires. A place that brings together the flavors of good wine, slow-cooked meals and the nature of its nursery.
How was the last edition of Rock Star Chefs?
The previous Rock Star Chefs event was at the Hard Rock Hotel Cancun. The event took place between April 6 and 9, and there was an important turnout of guests.
"This culinary experience was a meeting to enjoy the best flavors of our culture, fused by the charm of this resort on the beach classified as a paradise for the stars," said the corporate director of the RCD Hotels chain for Latin America Leonel Reyes, about Rock Star Chefs Cancun.
The chefs who participated in that episode were Paco Molina, Regina López and Paco Campuzano. All three are Mexican and that is why the next edition will seek to open the range to other Latin American countries. As is the case of Argentina, with the participation of Felicitas Pizarro and other incorporations that will be announced in the coming weeks.
