Winter holidays: More than 70% tourist occupancy in Córdoba

During these winter holidays, Córdoba exceeded 70% occupancy in its main destinations. As usual, the province of the mountains had a very large turnout.

“I am very happy for the winter season, the Hotel Quinto Centenario, formerly Sheraton, occupied its 188 rooms last Saturday, while the other five and four-star hotels presented an occupancy of 70%, achieving a record in tourism in the Cordoba capital, while the gastronomic ones worked at 80%”, said Alejandro Lastra, the president of the Córdoba Tourism Agency.

As reported by the tourism secretariats of the municipalities, the occupation during these winter holidays was as follows:

In Punilla, Villa General Belgrano, La Cumbrecita, Villa Yacanto, San Javier and La Cumbre the average was 75%. The gastronomic movement was also intense and towns like Villa Allende and Mendiolaza worked at 80%.

The tourist success confirms the attractiveness of Córdoba and demonstrates its ability to attract visitors from all over. These numbers are related to the variety of tourist destinations that the province offers.

Diversity of events and activities

The province offered a good variety of events for tourists and that generated more entertainment. Activities such as the Alpine Chocolate Festival in Villa General Belgrano, the Dos Mundos Baroque Music Festival and the second edition of the Taninos Wine Fest in the city of Córdoba, among others.
