With great success and a large participation of Colombian wholesale and retail companies, interested in continuing to discover the tourist offer of Peru and its unique experiences for Colombian travelers, the Roadshow Peru in Colombia concluded, a meeting organized by the Promotion Commission of Peru to Export and Tourism (PROMPERÚ).
For 3 days, Colombian businessmen in the sector had the opportunity to discover, first-hand, the portfolio of premium experiences from prominent destinations such as: Lima, Arequipa, Cusco, Ica, Iquitos and Puno, presented by 15 Peruvian tourism companies, which They arrived in the cities of Medellín, Cali and Bogotá.
The Roadshow Peru in Colombia made more than 300 business appointments in the three cities where the event was held and carried out the massive training of 250 travel agencies.
The Colombian market continues to show a growing interest in discovering Peru, its adventure spots, its culture, ancestral legacy, and its rich world-class gastronomy; and the Roadshow Peru in Colombia, was the occasion to present this diversified offer, as well as the new experiences in sustainable tourism and cultural exchange that are trending.
Among the outstanding activities was the business conference that allowed Colombian businessmen to have a personalized meeting with each Peruvian tourism company, as well as training and experiential gastronomic shows, which allowed them to visit the different regions of Peru, through its flavors and iconic dishes such as the Lima cause, the chaufa rice, the salted loin, the Lima sigh and the inevitable cebiche.

According to official data from PROMPERÚ, Colombia, historically, has been in the top 5 of the main emitters of international tourists to Peru, and during the year 2021, it was positioned as the second issuing market of tourists worldwide to that country and the first in Latin America, with an international market share of 9%.
In 2022 it reached 133,035 tourists, which represented an increase of 225% compared to 2021. In this semester we have had an increase of 25% with more than 67,373 Colombian tourists who bet on Peru.
