American Airlines adds new routes and destinations to travel the world next summer

Summer may be coming to an end, but it's time to start planning for next year's summer vacation. American Airlines is pleased to announce four new routes and bring back another route as part of the airline's largest transatlantic expansion since 2019.

American will add new nonstop Europe flights from Philadelphia (PHL) to Copenhagen, Denmark (CPH); Naples, Italy (NAP); and Nice, France (NCE). American will also launch new service between Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) and Barcelona, ​​Spain (BCN) and will restart flights between Chicago (ORD) and Venice, Italy (VCE).

From the streets of Philadelphia to the rides in Europe 

American will offer 15 daily nonstop flights from Philadelphia (PHL) to 14 European destinations next summer, the airline's largest transatlantic program to the City of Brotherly Love since 2019, with increased service to more than 70 domestic destinations from PHL.

Beginning May 6, American will launch service between PHL and NCE, the gateway to the glitz and glamor of the French Riviera. The flights will start in time for customers to marvel at the flashing lights in the nearby city of Cannes.

Beginning June 5, American will inaugurate new service to NAP, the airline's fourth Italian destination. From enjoying pizza and local Neapolitan cuisine to the historic ruins of Pompeii and soaking up the sun on the Amalfi Coast, Naples offers guests a
unique Italian vacation.

Once service to CPH launches on June 6, American will offer flights to 11 countries in Europe. With this new service in Scandinavia, customers can explore the colorful buildings of the Nyhavn harbour, feast on traditional shortbread cookies and experience endless daylight.

American will launch a new service between DFW and BCN for the first time next summer, providing unmatched schedule options. American will expand its position as the largest US airline serving BCN. From five departure points to choose
from across the US, American offers an unmatched calendar and network for customers looking to enjoy all that Barcelona has to offer.

American will also be the only airline to offer a nonstop flight connecting Chicago to Venice, thanks to the return of service between ORD and VCE. Complementing existing service between PHL and VCE, ORD's additional flight will allow customers greater
schedule flexibility and connect to more than 100 domestic destinations, including more cities in the Western US.

American also recently expanded annual service on routes to several key transatlantic destinations, including Lisbon (LIS), Madrid (MAD) and Rome (FCO), giving customers more flexibility in planning their European vacations in 2024.

This winter, American will reinforce its status as the largest airline between the US and Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America by further expanding its largest program to date in the region, with more flights to low-cost entertainment destinations. Sun.

The airline also plans to increase its service between DFW and Buenos Aires (EZE) to daily flights starting in October of this year.
