With the purpose of positioning Argentina in the High-end Tourism segment in North America and the rest of the world, the National Institute for Tourism Promotion (INPROTUR) attends the Virtuoso Travel Week meeting, which is held in the United States.

Virtuoso is the world's largest network of luxury tour operators, of American origin. It brings together elite travel specialists from countries in North America, Latin America and the Caribbean, Europe, Asia-Pacific and Africa, as well as prestigious world travel providers and top-tier destinations. Today, Virtuoso member agencies generate more than $14 billion annually.

This participation in Virtuoso comes amid a boom in American tourists in Argentina. This is confirmed by the numbers: more than 350,000 tourists arrived in our territory in the first 7 months of 2023. But that's not all: if you think about the pre-pandemic, the numbers not only recovered, but also grew by 13 percent. hundred.

“The work of Argentine tourism is very remarkable, not only because of its speedy recovery, but because it works every day to attract very important markets such as the United States. The growth achieved is more than significant, but we do not stop at what we have achieved, but rather we are going for even more”, valued the Executive Secretary of the National Institute for Tourism Promotion (INPROTUR), Ricardo Sosa.

By air the growth was 12 percent over 2019, while by land and sea fluvial it was 13 and 15 percent, respectively. In other words, not only did 100% of the tourist movement recover, but the arrivals of travelers from the North American country grew in all modalities.

Glamping, experiences like visiting Iguazú under the full moon, wine and the always renewed proposals of Buenos Aires were some of the topics most sought after by attendees. It is worth mentioning that INPROTUR shared the agenda with Visit Buenos Aires, also present at the Luxury Tourism event.
