Unlike last year, where September 18 fell on a Sunday, this year Chileans are preparing to experience an XL National Holiday. There will be at least four days of celebrations, while the luckiest will ask for the whole week.

With this long holiday ahead, many are already starting to plan trips. With this panorama, what better than the Travel Sale, whose seventh version will take place between Monday 28 and Wednesday 30 August.

The event has the participation of different companies in the field, who, given their expertise, provide tips for national celebrations. A leader in the industry is Assist Card, which, based on data from Travel Sale 2022, where sales grew by 70% compared to 2021, anticipates which are the preferred destinations for nationals for this traditional date.

Of the total number of buyers during the last version of this special sale, which also took place in August, 65% did so thinking of traveling in September. The contracted assistance was from 0 to 15 days, with an average of seven days.

Of all the travelers, concentrated mainly between the ages of 25 and 44, 29.1% opted for South America, due to its proximity and the duration of the Creole festivities. Within the subcontinent, the favorite place was Brazil, to escape the cold thanks to its warm beaches.

In second place are those who opted for Argentina, enthusiastic about the favorable exchange rate and proximity. A third majority moved to Peru, leaving aside the anticuchos and empanadas to enjoy the rich Inca gastronomy.

Outside of the South American countries, 27.6% accumulated a few extra days and went to North America, specifically to the United States, to enjoy the good weather of Miami or the entertaining amusement parks of Orlando. Europe ranked third, with 22.1%.

Regardless of the chosen destination, Renzo Caldarella, Assist Card's Direct Sales Manager, calls to take advantage of the Travel Sale thinking about eighteenth-century dates. “We will have up to a 45% discount on products with assistance amounts of one and three million dollars, in addition to free children in the Multitrip modality. It is an ideal date to travel and it is important to make it safe, to enjoy and disconnect these days ”, he highlights.

All products include pre-existing coverage and can be used until December 31, 2023.
