Aerolíneas Argentinas announced, for the last four-month period of the year, an increase in its seat offer of 21% on average compared to 2019.
Among the main novelties is the start of seasonal flights on the routes Trelew – Ushuaia (3 weekly flights from October), El Calafate – Trelew (2 weekly from October), El Calafate – Rosario (2 weekly from October), Bariloche – El Calafate (3 weekly since October), Mar del Plata – Tucumán (2 weekly since October) and the start of operations on the new route between Mendoza and Tucumán (2 weekly).
Likewise, there will be a significant increase in frequencies on the following routes:
Buenos Aires – Mar del Plata – Buenos Aires goes from 21 to 27 weekly frequencies in October.
• Buenos Aires – Trelew – Buenos Aires goes from 15 to 20 weekly frequencies in September and to 25 in October.
• Buenos Aires – Jujuy – Buenos Aires goes from 18 to 21 weekly frequencies in October.
• Buenos Aires – Puerto Madryn – Buenos Aires goes from 6 to 9 weekly frequencies in September and in October to 12 weekly.
• Buenos Aires – Esquel – Buenos Aires goes from 6 to 8 frequencies in October.
• Buenos Aires – El Calafate – Buenos Aires goes from 21 to 21 weekly frequencies in September and in October it goes to 36 weekly.
• Buenos Aires – Iguazú – Buenos Aires goes from 40 to 43 weekly frequencies in September and in October goes to 47.
In addition, the increase in the Córdoba - El Calafate and Córdoba - Iguazú routes stands out, going to 3 and 6 weekly respectively. Similarly, frequencies are added to Comodoro Rivadavia, Formosa, La Rioja, San Luis and Salta, among others.
“Aerolíneas is a fundamental tool for the development of tourism and the connectivity of Argentines. That is why we work permanently to put more flights where we see expansion possibilities. The sector will close the year with historical growth levels in number of passengers, offer, destinations, frequencies and investments”, said Pablo Ceriani, president of Aerolíneas Argentinas.
Meanwhile, Fabián Lombardo, commercial director of Aerolíneas Argentinas said: "We are putting a greater offer of seats in destinations that increase their demand in this period of the year and that, in combination with tools such as Previaje, become a very attractive product for the Turist. Today we can say that we do not have a high and low season because there is a flow of passengers that grows constantly, month by month”.
During July, the company transported 1,012,774, that is, 12% more than in 2019. It also broke the historical record for passengers transported in a single day with 46,822.
So far this year, Aerolíneas Argentinas has transported 9 million passengers and is committed to closing 2023 by far exceeding the record of almost 13 million passengers transported in 2019.
