Strengthening the tourism strategy of President Mauricio Trejo, San Miguel de Allende continues to ring in the world.
To boost the image of this World Heritage City as a growing cultural destination, Municipal President Mauricio Trejo began a work tour of Aspen, Colorado, in the United States.
As part of said Memorandum of Collaboration signed in September of last year, San Miguel is the sponsor for the second time of the "Jazz Aspen Snowmass" Festival, in addition the student exchange will take place, so that a group of young people from San Miguel travel and complement their academic training with practical experience in this American city.
As part of his tourism promotion itinerary, Mauricio Trejo will have a media tour this Thursday, August 31, where he will highlight the importance of this relationship with Aspen and the benefits of adding this bilateral dynamic.
This same Thursday the 31st, the president of San Miguel will meet with the mayor of Aspen, Torre, with whom he will generate an exchange of ideas and experiences that will benefit the tourism and cultural sector of both cities in the short, medium and long terms.
From Friday, September 1 to Sunday, September 3, this great festival "Jazz Aspen Snowmass" will receive more than 50,000 spectators, having a cultural diversity that captures the eyes of visitors, with which, similarities can be found with San Miguel de Allende, since they share tourism crossed by the kind of events that both cities carry out and makes Aspen the preferred destination for Mexicans in the winter season.
With these actions, San Miguel de Allende and Aspen continue to strengthen their ties by working transversally, with more and better strategies for cultural and tourism development in both cosmopolitan destinations; Thus, opportunities for the comprehensive training of young people from San Miguel continue to be generated.
