The Brazilian airline Azul, the largest in number of flights and destinations in Brazil, announced a new route that will connect Montevideo with Curitiba, one of the main capitals of the neighboring country. In this way Azul continues to expand its network of international destinations.
The new flight, which will begin operations on October 31, will be carried out four times a week on Embraer E2 aircraft, with the capacity to transport up to 136 passengers.
Takeoffs will take place at noon from the capital of the state of Paraná, every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. The returns are scheduled for the same days, leaving Uruguay at 3:10 p.m.
"Connecting Brazil with another international destination is a joy for Azul. We already have an extensive national network that allows for greater connectivity in the country and offering more flight options to other countries is an incentive for us to be able to bring even more passengers to all destinations. possible, always providing the Azul experience so that they can make their trips in the best way," said Beatriz Barbi, Network Planning Manager at Azul.
“Opening a new destination like Curitiba is great news for Carrasco Airport and for our country. It is another example of Azul's commitment to Uruguay, and a sign that the work that we do throughout the year between the public and private sectors to enhance national connectivity bears fruit," said Matías Carluccio, manager Commercial Airports Uruguay.
