This is the new LATAM Airlines service to Aruba, with a stopover in Lima, which will begin operating on December 2, 2023.

The new flight will increase the seats so that more Chileans travel to the Happy Island. Currently, Avianca and Copa Airlines are the two airlines that connect Chileans with Aruba, with connections in Bogotá and Panama. A new alternative that will give Chileans the possibility of enjoying a unique vacation in a destination that can be traveled to all year round, is already outside the hurricane zone. An attractive destination due to its natural beauty, pleasant climate, exciting activities, diverse culture and hospitality. It is an ideal place both to relax on the beach and to explore outdoor and cultural activities,” says Álvaro Caballero, director of the Aruba Tourism Authority in Chile.

The flight will have an initial frequency of three times a week on an Airbus 320 aircraft with capacity for 174 passengers, or on an Airbus 319 aircraft with capacity for 138 passengers, or Boeing B787-8, with a capacity of 210 to 250 passengers in a flight configuration. two classes.

Flights will depart Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at the following times:

SCL-LIM-AUA departure time 08:50 and arrival time 17:20

AUA-LIM-SCL departure time 18:20 and arrival time 04:30

Chileans in Aruba

Aruba continues to be a very attractive destination for Chileans. So far in 2023, 4,688 Chilean travelers have arrived on the island, with a growth of 32.3% compared to 2022.

This year it is expected to reach 10,199 passengers and increase market share from 8% to 9.2%

Due to its good climate (360 days of sun), safety and wide range of activities and events all year round, Aruba has become one of the favorite destinations of Chileans. The island also has a first-class hotel infrastructure (around 13,000 rooms) and is accessible. This year Embassy Suites by Hilton opened its doors in Eagle Beach and the St. Regis Resort is expected to do so later, which will have 220 rooms and all the amenities of a 5-star luxury hotel, a Grand Iberostar and a Secrets.

“We receive more and more Chileans who choose Aruba for its tranquility, with the security standard of a European country. We have a very high level of reserves for the remainder of 2023, since the weather is always good: there is no rain, no hurricanes, no sargassum,” explains Álvaro Caballero.
