Arajet, the low-price airline of the Caribbean, announced that it broke a sales record yesterday, September 7, when they launched their “737” anniversary promotion together with the Boeing Company, in which they offer in all their destinations prices from 7 dollars and 37 cents without taxes included.
The information was announced by Víctor Pacheco, CEO and founder of Arajet, through his X account (previously Twitter) with a post that said “Yesterday we sold more than 11 thousand tickets. Arajet's first year literally started “flying” with our best day in history. Thank you DR and Latin America for preferring us.”
According to the information offered by Pacheco, the destination where the most sales originated was Sao Paulo in Brazil, with more than 2 thousand tickets sold, followed by Mexico City and Buenos Aires in Argentina, which translates into the tourist impact that the Republic will have. Dominican Republic, as well as strengthening connections through the new Caribbean hub in Santo Domingo.
Pacheco also published a photo of a ticket from Santiago de Chile to Punta Cana by Arajet with a total price of only 297 dollars round trip with taxes included, where it can be seen that the airline only charges the fare of 7.37 USD to passengers as part of the anniversary promotion.
According to the airline, which uses new Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft, the promotion will continue in the month of September for about two weeks, and on the 15th, which is the day where the first anniversary of operations is commemorated, there will be a celebration in Santo Domingo where there will be gifts, surprises and music.
