The Paraguayan Association of Travel Agencies and Tourism Companies (ASATUR), and the National Secretariat of Tourism officially presented the XVII International Tourism Fair of Paraguay FITPAR 2023. The event aims to strengthen ties between companies, in addition to promoting actions aimed at strengthening of the entire sector.
The event was chaired by the Minister of Tourism, Angie Duarte de Melillo; the Pta. from ASATUR, Mónica Costa Barriocanal; and the Director of FITPAR 2023, Rosana Fustagno. In addition, it was attended by the President of DINAC, Nelson Mendoza; Director of Migrations, Jorge Kronawetter; the Representative of the UNDP, Silvia Morimoto; members of ASATUR, members of the diplomatic corps and representatives of the national tourism sector.
The head of SENATUR highlighted FITPAR as a trend-setting fair, not only by promoting tourism at a national and international level, but also in terms of training and updating of agents and professionals in the area. “How could I not be honored to work with professionals and businessmen so committed to national tourism, and to this event, located as the most important in the country and one of the most prestigious in the region in the tourism field,” she stressed.
According to Rosana Fustagno, 8 countries and more than 100 companies have already confirmed presence, and this year the Department of Itapúa is highlighted as a guest of honor.
In addition, FITPAR 2023, declared of National Tourist Interest by resolution No. 626/2,023 dated 07/05 of the SENATUR, will bring together local and foreign companies and institutions, becoming during those days the main center of tourism businesses in the entire region. region.
It should be noted that in addition to the fair, seminars aimed at professionals and students in the tourism sector are also organized within the framework of FITPAR. It will be open to all people interested in doing business, training or simply planning their next vacation with the different promotions and packages offered during the exhibition.
