CEO of SKY is the first Chilean to be included in the Airline Economics 40 under 40 ranking

José Ignacio Dougnac, CEO of the Chilean airline SKY Airline, has been named by Airline Economics as one of the leaders of the international aeronautical industry in its annual “40 under 40” ranking, which recognizes the 40 executives under 40 years of age with the highest trajectory and outstanding performance in the sector. Dougnac is the only CEO of an airline to be included in this edition of the ranking and is the first Chilean to obtain this distinction.

According to Airline Economics, the world's leading publication on business and finance in the aviation sector, the ranking published this year recognizes professionals who have faced the brunt of the decline and decline of aviation, and have shown strong leadership in capitalizing on opportunities. that have emerged with the global return of
air transport, after the pandemic. The publication noted, in its press release, that the 2023 ranking shows that the industry is well prepared for generational change, with highly competent talents to lead aviation in the coming years.

The “Airline Economics 40 under 40 Class of 2023” ranking was compiled after a record number of nominations and endorsements (sponsors) from investors, suppliers, customers and companies related to commercial aviation. The 40 selected leaders received a total of more than 1,305 endorsements, the majority from clients.

Each person who appears in the ranking must be nominated to be considered, and a selection is made based on the number of nominations and endorsements received, and based on the candidates' most notable milestones, their performance and the results of the companies they lead.
