CULTOURFAIR is the only B2B international high standing cultural tourism tradeshow in the world, a unique event that has become essential for the MICE and Cultural tourism sector, after nine successful editions held in eight cities of five countries, the last two in Madrid, with support of the Comunidad de Madrid and the City Council. In this tenth edition MITM Events has returned to Seville, coinciding with the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the first MICE and Cultural tradeshow organized in the world, which took place in the capital of Seville in 1997.

The promotion for this edition in Seville has generated great interest in the destination, with more than 400 companies from 49 countries having registered, of which 54 buyers have been selected for their high business potential, specializing in luxury travel, events (sports, music , winemaking, gourmet, etc.), MICE, city-breaks, heritage, gastronomy, folklore, religious tourism, etc...

Sevilla City Office prepared an exceptional networking program for the participants: private visit to the Real Alcázar de Sevilla – UNESCO World Heritage Site – followed by a welcome reception at the Casa Palacio Guardiola, finishing with a closing gala dinner at the emblematic Museo de Artes y Costumbres Populares de Sevilla.

The event was held at the Espacio Exploraterra - Fundación Nao Victoria on the banks of the Guadalquivir, where approximately 2,000 business meetings were held with an estimated medium and long-term economic impact of more than 200 million euros.

The welcome reception at Casa Palacio Guardiola was graced with the participation of Antonio Castaño, managing director of Sevilla City Office and Charo Trabado, CEO of MITM Events, who, after the tour of the Real Alcázar, welcomed all the participants.

The closing dinner at the Museo de Artes y Costumbres Populares saw the participation of the director of the Museum, Rafael Rodríguez Obando, the territorial delegate of tourism, culture and sports of the Junta de Andalucía, Carmen Ortiz Laynez, the tourism delegate of the Seville City Council, Angela Moreno, and Charo Trabado, CEO of MITM Events.

Carmen Ortiz Laynez thanked those present for attending this edition of CULTOURFAIR: "It has been an honor for Seville to host this tradeshow that promotes and positions cultural tourism. The government of Andalusia has a firm commitment to events that promote cultural and heritage tourism. It can be said that Seville has always stood out for its culture and art which has turned it into a wonderful tourist destination."

Ángela Moreno gave a brief historical review of Seville, with details that provide a clear reason as to why Seville has become one of the favored destinations for all types of tourism, but specifically for cultural tourism and meetings and events. Furthermore, she appreciated the recognition and trust placed once again by MITM Events in Seville and assured that, "the city council of Seville in its strategic tourism plan has a firm commitment to our value as a historical and cultural heritage venue for visitors, especially for the MICE segment".

CULTOURFAIR has the support and co-organization of the Seville City Office, host destination of the event, Argentina, platinum sponsor, Espacio Exploraterra - Fundación Nao Victoria, venue of the event, Iryo as Official Carrier, in addition to the Provincial Tourism Board of Cádiz and The Provincial Council of Seville, organizers of their respective post-tours.
