Emirates announced that its highly sought-after Premium Economy offering will be introduced to two more points in its network, São Paulo from November 19 and Tokyo Narita from December 20. São Paulo will become the fifth point in the airline's network in North and South America where flights will operate with the new cabin class, while Tokyo Narita will become the second gateway to the Emirates network in Faraway. As the airline's modernization program accelerates and the product extends to more routes in its network, São Paolo will become the 13th city in which Emirates will operate its newly modernized flagship A380 aircraft, while the number of points offering Premium Economy will increase to 14 with the addition of Tokyo Narita. In addition to the new Premium Economy seats, the upgraded aircraft that will operate on the routes also feature renovated interiors that provide an elevated experience in the rest of the cabins, with a new look and feel.

Starting November 19, travelers flying between Dubai and São Paulo will be able to book Emirates Premium Economy seats on flights EK261/262, which will initially be available three times a week, becoming daily flights in December. The Premium Economy offer on flights EK318/319, to and from Tokyo Narita, will be daily starting December 20.
The aircraft that will be deployed on the routes in a four-class configuration have 56 seats in Premium Economy, located at the front of the main deck and arranged in a 2-4-2 configuration, in addition to 338 seats in Economy Class, 76 in Business Class and 14 suites in First Class.
São Paulo is one of the last destinations to be operated by the upgraded A380 aircraft in a four-class configuration and marks the entry of Premium Economy into Emirates' Latin American network. Tokyo Narita is the airline's first gate in Japan where Premium Economy will be available and follows the product's debut in Singapore in July.
The Premium Economy offering has proven to be immensely popular on the ten routes where the product has already been launched. With increasing travel demand across its extensive network, it is expected to attract those seeking a premium travel experience at an attractive price. Since Premium Economy was introduced to Emirates' offering a year ago, more than 160,000 customers have upgraded from Economy Class to Premium Economy, choosing to try out the superior experience it offers.
Emirates currently flies its A380s with Premium Economy seats to global destinations including London Heathrow, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Christchurch, Singapore, Los Angeles, New York JFK, Houston and San Francisco. Premium Economy will also debut on Emirates flights to Mumbai and Bengaluru from October 29.
Premium Economy class is very popular among leisure and business travelers, solo travelers and families, among others, who want to enhance their travel experience. Premium Economy passengers can enjoy a number of features, such as luxury seating, more legroom, premium food and beverages, among other benefits.
On the modernized aircraft, the refreshed interiors feature Emirates' signature ghaf tree motif, as well as other aesthetic enhancements, beautiful designs and new color palettes, evident throughout the aircraft.
Emirates currently operates daily flights between São Paulo and Dubai, connecting passengers to more than 130 destinations on its global network. Emirates' Brazilian operations also include a Boeing 777 service between Dubai and Rio de Janeiro, connecting travelers to Buenos Aires.
