In this context, Travel2latam spoke with Luis Jiménez, Commercial Vice President of Enjoy Travel Group.
How has the fair been for you?
The fair has been very good and very positive, there is a general spirit of traveling to Cuba and the Caribbean. Vacations are sacred and we are seeing it because there is a positive perception towards the destination Cuba in particular.
What are the biggest queries you have received these days?
We have a fairly large group force, we are in 12 different countries and from source markets we have 2,400 weekly air seats, especially from Mexico to Cuba, which is 14 flights per week. The daily flight from Cancun to Havana is very good for Argentina because it can be multi-destination, and in two weeks of vacation the client can go to Mexico and Cuba with the air connectivity that we have. The same thing happens with the nine weekly flights we have to the Dominican Republic, with Havana-Santo Domingo, Santiago de Cuba-Santo Domingo to also be able to combine destinations, that is something that differentiates us to make different programs.
What other attractions do these programs include?
We are a powerful operator in options with different experiences, for example Cuba is not only sun and beach but also stands out for its culture, history, people, cocktails and gastronomy. There are so many interesting programs that we also market through our platform so that the travel agency client can learn about them and add them to the destination.
Outside of this opportunity that you are in Argentina, what other events are you going to present at soon?
We are going to start marketing actions directly in Argentina to promote the destination because there is a very good union to promote the Cuba destination at a general level, and at a global level we will be at FITUR, and at the main fairs in Montreal, Canada; We will also position the brand at the Acapulco fair in Mexico, so the promotion continues and on the one hand, we continue to make ourselves known in new markets, and on the other we continue to bet on those who already know us.
