The IFTM Top Resa fair ended in Paris, France, where Argentina participated through the National Institute for Tourism Promotion. INPROTUR was accompanied by 20 tourism companies from the country and destinations, in addition to the airline Air Europa, and for three days numerous meetings and promotional actions dedicated to the trade were held, with the aim of continuing to promote the arrival of French tourists to our country.
At the end of the last day, Sosa reported that between January and September 2023, more than 80,000 French tourists have already entered Argentina and that flights have recovered by 93%, marking this important trend.
Likewise, he indicated that French tourists consume many products related to nature and culture, in addition to gastronomy and esotericism. The main regions it serves are the city of Buenos Aires, Patagonia, northern Argentina (especially Salta and Jujuy) and Mendoza.
In addition, Sosa highlighted: "In this edition we had the participation of tourism entrepreneurs from Tucumán, who together with the government of that province are working on insertion into the French market, for them we met with French tour operators to accelerate the intermediation of the offer ".
On the other hand, the Executive Secretary of INPROTUR highlighted the meetings with representatives of the airlines ITA Airways and Air Europa, who added their offer of seats from France: "In the case of ITA Airways we take advantage of the departures they have from Paris and different cities in France, via Rome, to take them to Argentina and in the case of Air Europa, with flights from Paris, via Madrid, to Buenos Aires," said Sosa, who also added: "These actions are complemented by commercial missions that we have been carrying out. throughout the year and diffusion agreements with different press media such as Le Monde, which positions our country as one of the most important tourist options in Latin America for the French market”
During the fair, a video about the Carnival in Jujuy was awarded at the Wonder France Festival in the “Best Documentary Video” category, made by Gastón Luna and with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Ricardo Sosa accompanied the reception of the award along with the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Jujuy, Federico Posadas.
The Wonder France festival invites audiovisual filmmakers - amateurs and professionals - to present videos with tourism and travel themes, being productions not commissioned by a company in the field. The categories with "Landscapes and Nature", "Sports and Leisure", "Heritage and Architecture" and "Lifestyle and Culture".
The delegation at Top Resa was made up of the companies Esteros Ciajee DMC, Hotel Madero Buenos Aires, Amahuaca, Inspira Travel & Incentives, Helling's Travel, Eurotur, Passion for Events, Furlong Inconing, arakur Ushuaia, Southern Experience Viajes, Terra Patagonia, ILS Tours , Café Los Angelitos/Rojo Tango and Viva Terra Argentina DMC, which were convened by the Argentine Chamber of Tourism. In addition, Bariloche Tourism, the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of Jujuy, the Secretary of State of Tourism of Santa Cruz, the Ente Autárquico Tucumán Turismo and the Ministry of Tourism of Misiones participated, while the airline Air Europa also had a desk.
