Inter-institutional team of the government of Paraguay works to promote projects with UNESCO

Representatives of both entities led a meeting in search of initiatives that promote tourism in Paraguay

In order to analyze the joint work of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization – UNESCO with various state portfolios of the nation, the director of UNESCO based in Montevideo, Ernesto Fernández recently met with the Minister of Tourism, Angie Duarte and her counterparts of Education and Culture, Luis Ramírez and Adriana Ortíz respectively, in the office of the first lady – OPD.

During the meeting, technical teams and representatives of Tourism, Presidency, MADES and OPD, Culture and Foreign Ministry also participated.

The occasion was conducive for government institutions to present the tasks carried out with UNESCO and thus the international representative to propose actions that enhance these actions and direct tasks for new initiatives.

During his stay, Unesco director Fernández will visit the city of Yaguarón and the Jesuit Missions, declared World Heritage Sites by the international organization.
