ITB Asia 2023 begins with record growth of 35% in international exhibitors

Key global travel industry players gather to celebrate Asia's leading travel trade show

With over 1,838 international exhibitors, a 35% increase in new exhibitors, a 38% increase in MICE and over 200% growth in travel technology. With over 1,300 top-tier global buyers and over a hundred conference speakers participating, ITB Asia 2023 is off to a strong start.

ITB Asia, Asia's leading travel trade show, opened its doors today at Singapore's iconic Marina Bay Sands. The event, co-located with MICE Show Asia and Travel Tech Asia, promises three full days of networking opportunities with international exhibitors, complemented by engaging conference sessions. Guest of honor Alvin Tan, Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Singapore, opened the exhibition along with Melissa Ow, CEO of the Singapore Tourism Board and David Ruetz, Senior Vice President of Messe Berlin, had the honor of inaugurate the exhibition.

Returning to the live format in 2022, ITB Asia has established itself as a pioneer in the entire branch. As the world continues to change at an unprecedented pace, we hope it will become the cradle of the most cutting-edge trends in the industry, the space that cultivates the free exchange of ideas and sustainable cooperations,” says Mr. Ruetz.

Focus on destinations

This year's ITB Asia exhibition features an impressive selection of over 80 national tourism organizations (NTOs) and regional tourism organizations (RTOs). Led by exhibition sponsors including Busan Tourism Organization, Japan National Tourism Organization, Korea Tourism Startup Center, Penang Global Tourism, Sentosa Development Corporation, Philippine Tourism Promotion Board and Visit Finland, the fair will foster hundreds of cooperations between destinations, buyers and service providers.
