This Saturday the Golfito dock begins the cruise season with the arrival of two Expedition and Luxury ships, these are the Seabourn Venture and Fridtjof Nansen, both cruise ships visiting the country for the first time.

About the Seabourn Venture cruise
The Seabourn Venture ship is an imposing ultra-luxury expedition cruise ship operated by Seabourn Cruise Line. Its maiden voyage was in 2022, making it one of the newest in the Seabourn fleet.
The ship is designed and built for diverse environments to PC6 Polar Class standards and includes a plethora of modern hardware and technology that expands the ships' global deployment and capabilities.
It has a capacity of 132 suites, all with a terrace overlooking the ocean, as well as a spa, laundry, bars, all-inclusive restaurants, swimming pools, meeting rooms, 24-hour room service, teaching/academic center for themed events, shops, jewelry, coffee bar and gym.
In addition, it has two custom-built submarines on board, providing an unforgettable visit beneath the ocean's surface. Also, it carries a complement of double sea kayaks, as well as 24 Zodiacs that can accommodate all guests on board at once.
On this occasion, the ship will make an 18-day trip leaving Vancouver, Canada, visiting the United States, Mexico, Panama and Costa Rica, in the ports of Golfito and Puntarenas, where it will disembark and embark passengers, who have arrived in Costa Rica days before and others who may remain in Costa Rica later and then leave via air.
The Seabourn Venture will continue its itinerary to Ecuador, Peru and Chile.
The Seabourn Venture visits sites on its tours, including several UNESCO World Heritage sites and itineraries through Antarctica, the Arctic, the Caribbean and South America.
It is estimated that she will arrive in Costa Rica with 175 passengers and 120 crew members.

For its part, MS Fridtjof Nansen is an expedition cruise ship of the Hurtigruten line, inaugurated in 2021.
This cruise class was designed for Norwegian coastal and polar expedition cruises (Arctic and Antarctic itineraries), and features the latest environmentally friendly marine technologies, such as hybrid technology that allows you to sail with fully electric propulsion. for up to 30 minutes. The main gain is the total reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
It has a total of 265 cabins in 13 categories, 3 restaurants, swimming pool, jacuzzi, bar, lounges full of works of art from the polar region, it has a variety of expedition equipment (drones, submarines, zodiacs, kayaks), conference room , internet, store and gym.
Its capacity is for 600 passengers and 150 crew members.
