There are 350 employees with whom the organization's robust sustainability program begins, in which their well-being is the first link that extends to all areas of the operation of its 11 hotels and transcends, in some activities, to communities close to the hotels, and on other fronts, to natural reserves where GMH is part of sustainable programs.
The Happiness Olympics, a pioneering project that began in 2019 and could not continue due to the pandemic, was reactivated with this second version that preserves intact the objective of raising the quality of life of employees through recreation, sports and health care.
With the Olympics we achieved the integration of the entire company, says Pilar Morales, Director of Sustainability. Through sports and health promotion we all share, in a different approach than daily life with work and family, says Molares, for whom learning to play with love and camaraderie without competition allows for extraordinary experiences. “There is room for laughter and camaraderie when we accompany the games, in very pleasant moments.”
For the GMH Chain, the well-being of its collaborators is part of its priorities; and that well-being, they think, has a direct impact on the performance of each employee's duties, which translates into a higher level of efficiency and quality of service for their guests.
The Olympics take place on several dates in which the teams from the bh, bs, be and EK hotels demonstrate their skills in different sports practices that they joined, including some officials from the Chain's supplier companies who also collaborate with sponsorships.
