The 2023 edition of Amadeus Select celebrates 21 years of the Amadeus Select program, created to recognize, collaborate and inspire our strategic travel seller partners in the Latin America region.
The event, held from October 25 to 28 at the recently reopened Regency Carlton Hotel in Cannes, brought together 36 leaders (CEOs, VPs and general managers) representing Amadeus clients in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay. Amadeus leaders from Latin America and
our corporate headquarters presented first-hand the company's new purpose, vision and brand, summarized in the new slogan "It's how travel works."
The Summit was officially opened by Flavio Mesquita, head of travel sellers LATAM and inside sales Americas, Amadeus, who welcomed the participants, presented a quick overview of the company and Select's trajectory from 2002 to 2023, as well as introduced the new purpose and vision of the company.
Ángel Gallego, head of Distribution, Amadeus, spoke about innovation and how the company secures investments and alliances to achieve its vision. Ángel was followed by other senior Amadeus executives who presented relevant topics for the audience such as why travel payments should be part of their growth strategy; how to identify and incubate ideas for the future of travel and how the company is securing investment to continue offering the best technological tools to serve leisure and business travel clients.
Attendees were able to see the latest technology available in hospitality and the role it plays in supporting travel agency results. This was followed by a session on how travel agencies can embrace innovation, artificial intelligence and sustainability to improve their business performance.
During the event, there was a session with the theme "The best trips start when the entire industry is connected", which presented the Amadeus ecosystem approach and how collaboration and connectivity between industry players are essential to satisfy travelers' expectations. And another session with the theme
'Traveling better means taking care of the world around us', where attendees hear about our passion for travel and technology, and the role of the new area of Customer Success Management.

Amadeus applies innovation to meet new needs, to solve real challenges, to identify opportunities that build better experiences for travelers, partnering with leading companies. Following this premise, the general session of the day was led by Andre de Morais, Amadeus innovation program, strategic
partnerships & corporate strategy, and Nicolas Chevillotte, director of the Microsoft innovation program. Together, they presented how Amadeus and Microsoft power the future of travel with generative Artificial Intelligence.
At Amadeus, we work to make travel a force for social and environmental good. In this sense, Manuel Rua, head of ESG office, Amadeus, spoke about sustainability in the travel sector and how Amadeus executes its environmental, social and governance vision and objectives.
Executives also previewed how Amadeus Selling Platform Connect will evolve in the coming months. The event closed with an open question and answer session with Amadeus executives, in which topics related to Artificial Intelligence and ESG were the most discussed, demonstrating that travel sellers in Latin America are committed and in tune. with key issues for the industry.
