The Tourism Entity will provide a training called "Tourism as an agent for the protection of Communities", which will take place on Thursday, November 23 from 3 to 4 p.m. virtually. The meeting aims to create a space to raise awareness for companies and entrepreneurs in the tourism sector; associations and chambers; and guides; and public and private organizations linked to tourism.
“The growth that the City of Buenos Aires has had in recent years as a tourist destination is related not only to the work we have been doing in terms of promotion and development of the offer, but also to the permanent training of human capital. For us, these types of spaces are of utmost importance so that all actors in the chain acquire important concepts for daily life,” said Lucas Delfino, president of the Tourism Entity of the City of Buenos Aires.
It is worth mentioning that the purpose of this training is to reflect on social responsibility in tourism, as well as to raise awareness among all actors linked to the sector about the importance of promoting actions to protect the rights of people, especially girls and boys. and adolescents in travel and tourism. In this way, Entur's intention is to contribute to the positioning of the City of Buenos Aires as a sustainable and responsible tourist destination.
The talks will be given by Susana Cafaro, head of the Ethics and Social Responsibility area at the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Nation; and Felisa Colombo, head of the Equity Commission at Faevyt. During the event, topics such as: Protection of human rights and of children and adolescents, Gender perspective, Social responsibility as part of sustainability, and Code of Conduct as an ethical tool will be addressed.
