Victor Pacheco Méndez, CEO & Founder of Arajet, welcomed the children and faculty at the airline's office and expressed that they hope to foster an educational culture where Dominican children and adolescents become interested in careers related to aviation.
“At Arajet, through this initiative, we seek to foster in Dominican children an interest in the world of commercial aviation and that in the future they can be part of the local talents that make up the airline,” said Pacheco.
The group of children took a tour of the Arajet headquarters offices and later visited the hangar at the Las Americas International Airport. During the trip they were able to meet the aircraft maintenance team, pilots, cabin crew, visit the cockpit control and enjoy a series of amenities.
This initiative seeks to enable low-income children to live the experience of getting to know an airplane and become familiar with the idea of one day being able to belong to the team that makes Arajet's operations possible.
