Alongside 12 co-exhibitors, Embratur will be in Barcelona, Spain, promoting business tourism and events in Brazil during IBTM World 2023, which runs until next Thursday (30). The fair, one of the most important in the MICE segment (“meetings, incentives, congress and exhibitions”, in its acronym in English), will bring together a robust community of international suppliers and buyers who aim to promote business and network with representatives of world trade.
For the Manager of Meetings Tourism, Incentives and International Business at Embratur, Vaniza Schuler, Embratur's presence at IBTM is an opportunity to align what is being done in Brazil and the rest of the world. This gives the country more opportunities to compete with other markets.
“This is the fair that closes the event tourism calendar this year. IBTM brings representatives from Europe and Asian buyers from the East. It is a fair where many countries are present. There we will have the opportunity to update MICE tourism reference practices and have a more assertive alignment for better competitiveness in Brazil,” he stated.
For this edition of IBTM, Embratur intends to promote Brazil in the international market with a focus on tourist destinations that strive for sustainability, diversity and protect the environment. In addition to this focus, according to Embratur's Event Collection and Promotion coordinator, Cintia Hayashi, the Agency will show how Brazil is well positioned in business tourism in the world.
“Embratur’s presence at this trade show is important to position Brazil’s business tourism and events within the global MICE market. In addition to international visibility, the event opens up space for Embratur to promote the country's promising economy and tourism strengths, such as gastronomy, afrotourism, nature and the joy of the people, in addition to placing specialized products and companies on the international shelf that they can commercialize the country’s business tourism, with property”, he reinforced.
During the three days of IBTM 2023, which closes the MICE calendar for the year, Embratur will present Brazilian destinations and offer visitors and stand guests a taste of national cuisine.
