After three days of massive attendance, the twenty-fourth edition of the gastronomic fair 'Perú, Mucho Gusto' ended, which returned to Lima after 15 years of absence. The renowned meeting that took place at the Plaza Arena in the Surco district, brought together 40 thousand attendees from all the districts of Metropolitan Lima, from different cities in the country, as well as foreign audiences, who enjoyed the culinary offerings from the 25 regions of the country.

In its mission to promote tourism through gastronomy, 'Perú, Mucho Gusto' Lima 2023, which was organized by PROMPERÚ, was attended by 82 exhibitors distributed in different areas: restaurants, smokers - for field kitchens and grills-, bars, desserts, drinks and regional products. In addition, there were shows for children, musical shows for the whole family and information about tourist and travel packages was distributed to the general public. With 90 thousand dishes sold, it is expected, as a result, that the fair will generate an average of 7 million soles in economic movement.

“This 24th edition of the 'Perú, Mucho Gusto' fair, has had the objective of motivating and generating travel flow from Lima to the other regions of the country, through gastronomy, considering that the gastronomic offer is a decisive factor in travel organization. We want to thank all the strategic allies who have made it possible for 'Perú, Mucho Gusto' to return to Lima after so long and in style,” said Angélica Matsuda, executive president of PROMPERÚ.

It should be noted that 80% of the dishes presented in this edition are considered emblematic dishes of the regions they represent and, therefore, regional food heritage. The other 20% were innovative dishes inspired by local inputs, regional combinations and respectful reinterpretations of regional dishes. Likewise, all drinks, cocktails and desserts were prepared with inputs from the biodiversity of all of Peru.
