Hilton expands in Mexico with the signing of two Tapestry Collection by Hilton hotels in Baja California

Perla La Paz, Tapestry Collection by Hilton and Tropicana Los Cabos, Tapestry Collection by Hilton mark the arrival of the brand to the region, adding to the company's portfolio of award-winning hotels in Baja California

Global hospitality leader Hilton announced the signing of two franchise agreements with the conversion of Perla La Paz, Tapestry Collection by Hilton with 90 rooms and Tropicana Los Cabos, Tapestry Collection by Hilton with 70 rooms in San José del Cabo. The opening of these hotels in early 2024 will represent the debut of Tapestry by Hilton in Baja California, Mexico. Onirius Hospitality Advisors was the lead advisor in the development and launch of both hotels.

With these latest additions to the company's portfolio, Hilton continues to strengthen its commitment to increasing its presence and unmatched offering for all types of travelers in Mexico, where it has 90 hotels open and approximately 30 in the process of development.

Perla La Paz, Tapestry Collection by Hilton  

Built in 1940, the historic 90-room Perla Hotel recently underwent a $10 million renovation and is expected to join Hilton's portfolio as Perla La Paz, Tapestry Collection by Hilton in early 2024. Known as a legendary hotel , Perla La Paz will continue to represent the classic style of La Paz that pays tribute to its Art Deco history and the modernization of the city. Located in the golden area of ​​the La Paz boardwalk, it is in the center of the charming city's restaurants and attractions along with expansive views of the Gulf of California and Ensenada de La Paz.  

With a pastel pink façade and outdoor terraces, guests will be welcomed with a light and airy atmosphere adorned with pastel pinks and greens, natural woods, checkered tiles, wicker furniture and warm lighting. The hotel's renovation includes the remodeling of all of the spacious rooms surrounding the property's courtyard. On the ground floor, guests will enjoy a full-service restaurant and a lush terrace. The second floor will house the emblematic El Mechudo lounge, a state-of-the-art gym and spa. Guests can also soak up the La Paz sun at the third-level pool and bar or relax in the Madre Perla lounge.

Tropicana Los Cabos, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Located just 500 feet from Plaza Mijares, in the heart of San José del Cabo's coastal getaway, the Tropicana Inn is set to debut as Tropicana Los Cabos, Tapestry Collection by Hilton in early 2024. The property is tucked away in a Quiet area close to the city center and offers proximity to some of San José del Cabo's main destinations for dining and exploring vibrant art galleries and local shops.

Tropicana Los Cabos, Tapestry Collection by Hilton captures Mexican colonial style from its terrace to its exposed dark wood beams that adorn the high ceilings. The traditional design continues seamlessly throughout the hotel's 70 rooms, including two suites, with authentic Mexican artwork and accents, and the overall design brings together the spirit of historic downtown San José del Cabo. The centerpiece of the hotel is a floor-to-ceiling glass bar in the restaurant, where guests can dine in the outdoor cafe, on the outdoor patio or on the second-level terrace.

Perla La Paz, Tapestry Collection by Hilton and Tropicana Los Cabos, Tapestry Collection by Hilton will participate in Hilton Honors, the award-winning guest loyalty program for Hilton's world-class brands.  

Both hotels join Hilton's award-winning portfolio in Baja California, which includes the renowned Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal and Hilton Los Cabos resorts. In the Caribbean and Latin America, Hilton currently has a portfolio of more than 210 hotels welcoming travelers throughout the region, and a pipeline of approximately 115 hotels in various stages of design and construction.
